The challenge
Military and autonomous platforms increasingly operate where GNSS signals are jammed, spoofed or unavailable. Operators need resilient positioning that continues when GPS cannot be trusted without adding hardware, SWaP and integration complexity.
- GPS jamming and spoofing threaten mission success.
- Alternative positioning solutions increase SWaP and integration complexity.
- Mission continuity requires resilient positioning, navigation and timing.
- Dedicated navigation hardware raises platform cost.
The HiSKY solution
HiSKY GSPS adds a software-enabled positioning capability to an existing Dynamic Ka/Ku SATCOM terminal. It provides a GNSS-independent position solution while normal satellite communications continue, without additional onboard RF hardware or antennas.
- Positioning independent of GNSS.
- Reuse of the existing HiSKY terminal and antennas.
- Software-enabled capability with no additional RF payload.
- Communications and positioning managed through Space Control (NMS).
What the solution enables
Positioning
GNSS-resilient operation instead of GPS dependence.
Hardware
Existing SATCOM terminal reused instead of a dedicated navigation payload.
Mission resilience
Operational continuity in jammed or spoofed environments.
SWaP
No additional RF hardware or antennas.
