Why HiSKY

## **Mission continuity, built in.** **One system.** **Every constraint solved**

## Why now

Threats are engaging from farther away, with cheap munitions replacing expensive ones - fielded faster than ever by a new wave of defense-tech companies.

Affordable, low-SWaP, sovereign, LPI/LPD satcom has gone from *nice-to-have* to **necessity.**

## The challenge

Operators fielding drones, loitering munitions, UGVs, and dismounted units hit the same wall from three sides:

### Technical

Survive EW, work with no GPS, fit inside platforms with almost no size, weight, or power to spare.

### Commercial

A terminal can't cost tens of thousands on a one-way drone that never comes back.

### Operational

Fielded systems need a partner who stays engaged after the contract, not just through delivery.

01 · TECHNICAL

## Invisible by design

LPI/LPD - low probability of intercept and detection. A link the adversary struggles to find, jam, or control.

### Hard to detect

Ku/Ka band, low transmit power.

### Hard to jam

Spread spectrum, below the noise floor. Keeps operating under electronic warfare (EW) pressure.

### GPS-independent

Works when GPS can't be trusted.

### Low-SWaP

Small size, weight, and power, built for platforms with almost none to spare.

02 · COMMERCIAL

## Priced for attritable platforms

A one-way drone shouldn't carry a manned-aircraft price tag. HiSKY terminals are priced for attritable, mass-deployed platforms, so moving from a pilot fleet to full-scale deployment stays economical. Mission-grade value, not 'cheap.'

- ### Platform-fit pricing

Terminal costs aligned with attritable, mass-deployed platforms.
- ### From pilot to full-scale

Keep deployment economical as the fleet grows.
- ### Mission-grade value

Mission-grade connectivity at an economical price point.

## Support that doesn't stop at delivery

Fielded systems need a partner who stays engaged after the contract. HiSKY stays for the life of the program.

- ### In-house engineering and testing

The team that designs the terminal, hub, and NMS is the team that supports them.
- ### Integration support

Engineering help fitting the terminal into the platform, from first unit to production.
- ### Lifecycle management

Every terminal in the fleet is monitored and managed centrally through the NMS (Space Control).

Bidirectional communication connects the long-wing UAV, satellite, teleport and control room. Information and commands travel in both directions through the same chain.

Frequently asked questions

## Why HiSKY

### How is HiSKY different from other satellite connectivity providers?

Most alternatives sell a subscription to someone else's network: you get connectivity, but the routing, visibility, and policy control stay with the vendor. HiSKY designs and builds the entire stack in-house - terminal, gateway, and network management - so customers own and control their network outright, with traffic that never leaves their own gateways.

This full ownership model is the throughline across HiSKY's product lines, from ForceLITE for defense customers to SmartLITE for civilian and industrial deployments.

### Why does network ownership matter compared to a connectivity subscription?

Owning the network means the customer, not a vendor, decides how the system evolves, who can see traffic metadata, and whether the service remains available and affordably priced over time - a subscription model leaves all three of those decisions with the provider.

For defense and government customers in particular, this also reduces exposure to another country's export-control or policy decisions affecting access to the network.

### How does HiSKY compare to large commercial broadband satellite constellations?

Large commercial broadband constellations can deliver significant bandwidth, but customer traffic is typically routed through the operator's own ground infrastructure, and standard terminals are generally easier to detect. HiSKY's systems route traffic only through the customer's own gateways and are engineered for low probability of intercept/detection (LPI/LPD) as a core design goal.

The two approaches optimize for different things: commercial constellations generally optimize for maximum throughput on shared infrastructure, while HiSKY optimizes for sovereignty, detectability, and resilience - which matters most for defense and other sensitive use cases.

### How does HiSKY compare to legacy narrowband satellite phone/data terminals?

Legacy narrowband satellite terminals are a mature, widely available option, but they typically offer lower data rates, are not built with LPI/LPD as a core design goal, and depend on a single provider's infrastructure. HiSKY's systems support higher throughput (up to 1Mbps over GEO, and 10Mbps+ demonstrated on HiSKY's own LEO satellite), multi-orbit flexibility, and sovereign, private routing.

For customers currently using legacy narrowband terminals primarily because of their availability and simplicity, HiSKY's systems are designed as a higher-capability, sovereign alternative rather than a like-for-like replacement.

### Does HiSKY lock customers into one satellite or constellation?

No. HiSKY's systems are satellite-agnostic and multi-orbit - they work over GEO today, are LEO-ready, and can switch between orbits - so customers are not dependent on a single operator's constellation or coverage footprint remaining available or affordably priced.

This flexibility is validated in practice by HiSKY's own Ella-1 LEO satellite, which demonstrated a smooth handover between LEO and GEO.

### Is HiSKY's technology proven, or early-stage?

HiSKY's technology is proven at scale: 7,500+ terminals delivered worldwide over more than a decade, fielded by the Israeli Ministry of Defense and used by global partners including Kratos, SES, Hughes, ESA, and the UK Space Agency.

This combination of deployment scale, operational duration, and defense-grade validation distinguishes HiSKY from newer entrants without a comparable field record.

### Does choosing HiSKY reduce foreign dependency or export-control exposure?

Because HiSKY builds the terminal, HUB, and NMS in-house and routes traffic only through the customer's own gateways, customers avoid depending on another country's infrastructure, licensing, or policy decisions for day-to-day communications.

This is a significant driver behind growing demand for sovereign satellite capability among nations seeking independence from foreign-controlled networks and associated export-control regimes.

### Is HiSKY only relevant for defense customers?

No - the same core private-network architecture proven with defense forces underlies SmartLITE, HiSKY's industrial-grade tier priced and packaged specifically for civilian sectors including energy & utilities, fleet & logistics, agriculture, and sea.

This means civilian and industrial customers get the benefit of defense-grade resilience and design principles, at pricing and packaging suited to commercial-scale deployment.

### What's the single biggest reason a prospect should evaluate HiSKY?

HiSKY is one of the few providers that builds and owns the full stack - terminal, gateway, network management, and even satellite payload design - in-house, letting customers own a sovereign, low-SWaP, LPI/LPD network rather than subscribing to someone else's.

That combination - full-stack ownership, field-proven scale (7,500+ terminals), and multi-orbit flexibility validated by HiSKY's own Ella-1 satellite - is difficult for vendors that build only terminals, or only operate a network, to match.

## Bottom line

Technical, commercial, and operational - solved as one answer, proven across 7,500+ terminals delivered worldwide.

HiSKY: Private. Invisible. In Command.
